How to beat: level 60 bosses

ReferenceBuilt from the game’s data

Guides to level 60 dungeons, raids and world bosses: hits by turn, normal and heroic damage, phases, when to taunt and when to heal.

A guide to every boss of level 60 dungeons, raids and world bosses: what it does and to whom, on which turn it hits the whole party, how much Health it takes per turn on normal and heroic, when the tank presses Taunt, when the healer readies heals and shields, what damage dealers kill first. Everything comes from the game’s data and its engine — when a boss changes, so does the guide.

How to read the guide

  • The main number on an ability is “up to N per hit” (“up to N each” for a party-wide hit, “per turn” for a wound): the most that reaches a level 60 hero’s Health in PvE gear. The hit cap is already applied; Hardiness and the tank’s stance lower it further.
  • The small number next to it is what the boss card reads. It can be more than a hero’s whole Health, and that is not a mistake: the card is strong, but in a party fight a hero never takes more than the cap per hit. No need to panic — go by the main number.
  • The hit cap is the most Health a single hit takes: 80% for the tank, 59% for everyone else (heroic — 90% and 80%; world bosses — as on normal).
  • The turn cap is the most Health a whole enemy turn takes (every hit, the party-wide hit, wounds, adds): 90% for the tank, 75% for everyone else (heroic — 95% and 90%). Nobody at full Health falls in one turn — the healer always gets a turn to answer.
  • Why shields matter: a shield takes the hit first and is used up in full, and past it no more than the cap reaches Health. A shield before a heavy turn is an extra bar of Health: with a shield and full Health you survive even the strongest card.
  • Cooldown is how many boss turns pass before it plays the same card again. The party-wide hit follows a strict turn order (“every 3 turns”), other cards — “at most once per N turns”, whenever it has crystals.
  • The warning is a sign on the boss portrait on your turn before a party-wide hit: get everyone above half Health and put up shields — and the hit drops nobody.
  • A boss turn is the enemy turn after yours; the party moves first. “Turn-by-turn rhythm” and “Tactics” follow these turns, and “Average damage” is the share of Health a boss turn takes without healing: that is what needs healing.

Party combat rules

  • The tank’s Taunt holds enemies for 2 turns in a row, then the button rests for 1 turn. Under Taunt and on the rest turn the tank is in stance — taking 40% less damage. Press it before enemy turns 1, 4, 7…
  • The tank’s damage makes 3× threat: on Taunt’s rest turn enemies stay on the tank unless damage dealers out-threat it with a burst.
  • A boss’s whole-party hit follows a strict turn order. On your turn before it, a warning shows on the boss portrait: top everyone above half Health and shield.
  • In a party fight one hit takes at most 59% of a hero’s Health (tank — 80%), a whole enemy turn at most 75% (tank — 90%). Nobody at full Health falls in one turn — the healer always gets a turn to answer.
  • The boss’s wounds and debuffs are removed by a cleanse. Enrage: below a Health threshold the boss hits 18% harder every turn — until the end of the fight.
  • The main damage number in the guides is the most that reaches a level 60 hero (the hit cap already applied, before Hardiness); the number on the boss card sits small next to it. Hardiness and the tank’s stance lower damage further.
