Look sets and your price: what you own is never charged again

What is inside a look set, the “you own it” mark, your price with the set discount, grade and name tiers, Saved list and gifts.

In short

What you already own is never charged again. If part of a look set is already yours, the shop works out the price for you: on the card the full price is struck through, a “For you” tag sits next to it, and the “What’s inside” list marks what you already have. It works the same in the game, on the website and on VK Play.

What is inside a set

Every look set has a “What’s inside” list — all its parts and the price of each one on its own:

  • ✓ you own it — this part is already yours, you do not pay for it;
  • ✓ you own “Grade I” — 490 ₽ counted — you have the lower tier of this part, its price is taken off;
  • ◆ 990 ₽ — you do not have this part, this is what it costs on its own;
  • stacks — every purchase +1 — a right (for example, “Item name”): every purchase adds one more, so it always counts.

The card shows the list in short, the hover tooltip and the purchase window show it in full. Below it is the total: “For you: 3,842 ₽ (instead of 4,990 ₽ — 2 counted)” and the reminder “What you already own is never charged again — the price is counted for you”.

How your price is worked out

A set is cheaper than its parts bought one by one, and the set discount is kept when you top up. What you already own is taken off the set price at its price inside the set, that is, with the set discount.

Example: the “Legendary Smith” set costs 4,990 ₽. If you already own the “Master’s Strike” set (hit flash and trail), the Smith costs you 3,842 ₽.

The floor. The top-up is never lower than the cheapest missing item on its own, or the set would cost less than one of its own parts. Example: you own two glows out of three, so “Three Glows” costs 490 ₽, the same as the third glow alone.

If a set has nothing new for you, the shop says so, and you cannot buy it a second time.

Tiers: grades and name

Some items are steps of one ladder, and the higher step includes the lower one:

  • living animation: Grade I → Grade II → Grade III “Constellation”;
  • hero name in chat: coloured → shimmering.

Bought the lower step? The higher one costs only the difference. Grade II with Grade I — 500 ₽, Grade III with Grade II — 1,000 ₽, Grade III with Grade I — 1,500 ₽, the shimmering name with the coloured one — 1,000 ₽. The card then says “You own the lower tier — you pay only the difference”.

Saved list

Saved several items? Each line is counted against what you own and the lines above it. Say “All six colours” is at the top and “Legendary Smith” below it: the colours in the Smith are already counted, the line says “Already in “All six colours” in this list — counted”, and the full price above it is struck through. If an item is fully inside another line of the list, you cannot save it a second time.

A gift for a friend

A gift is priced by the recipient: what your friend already owns is taken off. What you own plays no part in the gift price. Once you pick the friend, “What’s inside” in the purchase window shows their “you own it” marks.

Website, game, VK Play and coins

Your price is the same everywhere: on the website, in the game, on VK Play, for coins and in the Saved list. The server counts it from what you own at the moment you pay. Buy a part of a set separately, and the set gets cheaper right away.

The “Gemcutter” set is no longer sold

The Gemcutter almost fully repeated “Three Glows” and the “Jeweller” set, so it has left the shop. If you bought it, everything stays yours, and every part works as before.
