Heralds: how a newcomer enters a Herald code
Where a newcomer enters a Herald code: the link, “Have a code?” at hero creation, “More” → “Invite a friend”. First 7 days, up to level 10.
Heralds of Zarhold invite new players with their own code or link. Whoever comes at a Herald’s word gets a parting gift, and the Herald earns rewards as the newcomer grows. Here is where to enter the code and answers to common questions.
How a newcomer enters the code
- Via the Herald’s link — the easiest way. Open a link like ru.zarhold.com/v/CODE and press “Play in the browser”. The code is saved by itself and links as soon as you log in — nothing to type.
- When creating the first hero. At the top of the hero creation screen there is a “🎟 Have a code?” badge — tap it, enter the code and press “Done”. The badge is shown only for the account’s very first hero.
- Later — in the “Invite a friend” window. In the game open “More” → “Invite a friend”. At the top there is the field “Invited by a friend or a Herald? Enter their code”. Enter the code and press “Done”.
- VK Play — by hand. On VK Play the link usually does not pass the code into the game: enter the code yourself — when creating the first hero or in “More” → “Invite a friend”.
A Herald code may be in Latin or Cyrillic letters (for example, KREOL or КРЕОЛ — it is the same code). Upper or lower case does not matter.
Who can enter a code
- Only a newcomer: within 7 days of creating the first hero, while their heroes are no higher than level 10 and before any purchase.
- One player — one code. It can’t be changed later. A Herald code and a friend code are two different programmes: once one is entered, the other can’t be.
- You can’t enter your own code.
For the Herald
- You don’t see the code field yourself — only newcomers have it. That’s by design: existing players don’t enter codes, otherwise rewards could be farmed. To see how the field looks for a newcomer, use “See how a newcomer sees it” in your Herald dashboard.
- Your Herald dashboard is in the Zarhold Companion (ru.zarhold.com/app/vestnik), section “Herald”: codes and links, who joined, rewards and terms. In the browser game there is a “You are a Herald” block in the “Invite a friend” window.
- Give newcomers your Herald code or your link, not the code from the “Invite” tab of the “Invite a friend” window: that one leads to a different programme — “Invite a friend”.
Frequently asked questions
Why can’t I see the code field?
The field exists only for a new account: the first 7 days after creating the first hero, heroes no higher than level 10, no purchases. If you have played longer, there is no field — and that’s normal.
The newcomer is already above level 10, has played for over a week or bought something
They can no longer enter the code themselves. The Herald can write to the Game Master via “Need help” — the newcomer’s name and where they came from. If the newcomer really came at the Herald’s word, they will be recorded by hand; the code gift does not arrive in that case.
The newcomer entered a friend’s code instead of the Herald code
One player — one programme: the newcomer is recorded in “Invite a friend”. Until that friend is counted, the Game Master can move the newcomer to the Herald (write via “Need help”). Once the friend is counted, it is no longer possible.
How do I check that the code was accepted?
The newcomer immediately gets the message “You came at the word of Herald …” and the parting gift. The Herald gets a letter “A new player at your word”, and the newcomer appears under “Brought in” in the Herald dashboard.
When does the Herald get rewards?
According to their own terms — shown in the Herald dashboard under “My terms”. Usually: when the newcomer reaches level 10 and logs in on 2 different days. Rewards are credited automatically; large ones come after a check by Zarhold.
