Auction House: how to sell and buy

The Auction House: buyout prices, a 5-copper deposit, a 5% fee, 48-hour lots, no price below the Merchant’s, sales history and what can’t be listed.

The Auction House is a market between players. There's no bidding: the seller sets a price and the buyer takes the lot at once. Your lot sells even while you're offline.

How to sell

  1. Open the Auction House → the "List Item" tab.
  2. Pick an item from your bag or a stack from your Pouch. For a stack, choose how many pieces to put in (up to 1,000) — the lot sells as a whole.
  3. Set the price for the whole lot in gold, silver and copper. The game shows what the Merchant would pay and how much you'll get.
  4. Press "Post a lot".
TermHow it works
Deposit5 copper per lot: returned on a sale, lost if you cancel or it expires
Fee5% of the price, rounded up, taken from your proceeds
Duration48 hours
Priceat least 5 copper and never below the Merchant price for the whole lot; at most 10 million gold

Example: an item sells for 1 gold → the fee is 5 silver → you receive 95 silver plus the 5-copper deposit.

The proceeds arrive by Mail. Letters are kept for 30 days — collect your money in time.

If a lot doesn't sell

After 48 hours the lot leaves the market but stays on the "My Auctions" tab. Press "Cancel" and the item comes back; the deposit doesn't. You can take a lot down earlier on the same terms.

What can and can't be listed

You can list gear from green (uncommon) to legendary quality and any Pouch stack — materials, consumables, gadgets, recipe scrolls, even of common quality.

You can't list:

  • grey junk and white (common) items — sell them to the Merchant;
  • quest items and bags;
  • heirloom, personal, account-bound and unique items;
  • items with "self only" enchantments and items granted by the administration;
  • personal stacks: Shard of the First Forge, the Hammer of the First Forge scroll, Eye of the Storm Core.

How to buy

On the "Buy" tab identical items are grouped into one row with the number of lots and the best price, and the "Buy" button takes the cheapest lot. There's a name search and filters: quality, armour class, one- or two-handed, accessory type, level, price and profession. Purchases arrive by Mail. You can't buy your own lot.

Sales history

Materials and consumables show "Sold this week: N, … each on average" — if there were at least 3 sales in the last 7 days. It's a handy guide for setting your price.
