Money: copper, silver and gold
Zarhold’s coin rates, how to read “1g 50s 12c”, where money comes from and where it goes. Each hero has a wallet of their own.
Zarhold has three coins: copper, silver and gold. 100 copper = 1 silver, 100 silver = 1 gold, so one gold is 10,000 copper.
How to read an amount
The game writes amounts in short form: 1g 50s 12c is 1 gold, 50 silver and 12 copper — 15,012 copper in total. Zero parts are left out: "75s" is exactly 75 silver.
Each hero has their own wallet. To move money to another of your heroes, use Mail: a letter with an attachment costs 1 silver.
Where money comes from
- Open-world enemies. A regular enemy of your level gives about 3 copper at level 1, 1 silver at level 20 and 75 silver at level 60. Packs, elites and land bosses pay more.
- Quests. All one-time: from ~8 copper at level 1 to a few gold near level 60.
- Dungeons and raids. Everyone in the group gets the full copper reward: the first clear in a window pays 100%, the second 50%, after that nothing.
- The Merchant buys unwanted items and materials — Merchant.
- Other players — the Auction House, trades and duel stakes.
- Battle Pass — 65 gold over 50 levels on the free track.
