How to level up fast to 60

How to level fast in Zarhold: experience from quests, enemies and dungeons, enemy colours and heirloom gear. Level 60 takes 1,335,900 experience.

The fastest levellers turn in quests in batches, fight enemies of the right colour and run a dungeon once a day. There's no rested experience in Zarhold: experience comes only from fights with creatures, quests and dungeons.

How much experience in total

Level 60 takes 1,335,900 experience, and the road isn't even:

  • to level 10 — 29,200;
  • to level 30 — 206,700;
  • to level 50 — 765,500;
  • from 50 to 60 — another 570,400, which is 43% of the whole journey.

The experience for every level is in Experience and levels.

Quests: the backbone of levelling

The 26 lands hold 312 quests, all one-time. A quest is worth about three regular enemies: 9.6% of a level at level 1 and 1.6% by level 59. Take every quest in a land at once: the 4 “defeat” and 4 “collect” quests use the same enemies, so you finish them in one go. Done with a land? Move on to the next. More in Quests.

Enemies: watch the colour

A regular enemy of your level gives 3% of a level at level 1 and 0.5% at level 59. The others give more:

EnemyExperience
regular×1
pack×1.35
elite×2.6
land boss×3.6

Colour matters too: grey enemies (5 or more levels below you) give nothing, green give less, yellow give the full amount, orange and red give more (at level 30 an enemy 6 levels above you gives ×1.3). Skull enemies can't be attacked. The table is in Enemy colours.

Dungeons: once a day

Everyone in the group gets the full experience for a run. Your first run of a dungeon in 24 hours gives 100% experience, the second 50% and the rest 0 (loot doesn't drop off). Dungeons pay best early on: up to level 20 you get the full amount, at 20–29 ×0.78, at 30–39 ×0.55, at 40–49 ×0.38 and from 50 ×0.25. Outgrow a dungeon's top level and the experience shrinks. More in Repeat rewards.

The experience bonus: heirloom gear

Heirloom items are the only lasting experience bonus. Every heirloom item you wear gives 1–5% (the starter ring gives 4%), and the set adds +8% for 6 items, +18% for 12 and +33% for 15. More in How heirlooms work.
