Arena: 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 fights
How to enter the Zarhold arena: four formats with their own ratings, tiers 1–59 and 60, unlimited manual fights, playing as a party and auto-battle.
The arena is ranked PvP against other players' heroes. It is open from level 1, and each of its four formats — 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 — has its own rating and its own leaderboard.
How to start a fight
Open the Arena and go to the Battle tab.
- 1v1 — press "⚔️ Battle". An opponent is picked by rating and level and the fight starts right away: you face a hero from your own ladder with their own gear, talents and deck. How the pick works is explained in How opponents are matched.
- 2v2, 3v3, 5v5 — the Team Arena block: choose a size and press "⚔️ Fight Manually". The fight takes place on a shared board: you lead your hero while allies and opponents fight alongside. If you go alone, world residents fill the free seats.
- As a party. The leader calls the party to the arena, and every live player plays their own hero. First the game spends 45 seconds looking for a live enemy party; if none is found, you fight world residents. More in Party.
The same tab also has the 5v5 battleground.
Tiers and ladders
| Tier | Who plays there |
|---|---|
| 1–59 | heroes still levelling |
| 60 | level 60 heroes |
Below level 60 your opponent is never more than 6 levels away from you, and level 60 heroes only meet each other. Within each tier every format has its own rating: a 3v3 win does not move the 1v1 table. All tables are on the Ladder tab and on the website under Ratings.
Manual fights and auto-battle
Manual fights are unlimited — play as much as you like. A win gives rating and Arena Points; a loss costs rating and gives no points.
With premium you also get auto-battle: the server fights for you, up to 5 auto-arenas a day (any size, including a 1v1 auto-duel). The rewards are the same as for a manual fight.
The combat rules in PvP differ slightly from PvE: you cannot lose more than 60% of your Health in one round, and healing and shields weaken as the fight drags on. Details in PvP combat rules.
