Your deck: what it is made of

You don't build the deck by hand: every class card goes into battle (at least 30, up to 4 copies), plus cards from learned talents and special cards.

In Zarhold you don't build your deck by hand. Every card of your class goes into battle, along with the cards of the talents you've learned and any special cards you own. The only way to change your deck is through talents.

Class cards

  • Each class has 20–24 cards of its own. All of them are available from level 1 — cards don't unlock by level.
  • A deck is never smaller than 30 cards: the gap is filled with copies, starting with the cheapest — up to 3 Crystals.
  • A deck holds no more than 4 copies of one card.

That's why cheap cards appear in several copies and expensive ones only once: your opening hand comes out smoother. How many cards each class has is in the Classes by the numbers reference.

Talent cards

Some talents add a new card to your deck — each class has 0 to 6 of them. The card stays in your deck while the talent is learned in your active specialisation: reset the talent or switch to the other specialisation and the card leaves; bring it back and so does the card.

Special cards

There are a few cards outside any class — epic and legendary. You get them for major achievements and in the battle pass: for example, Wanderer's Call at level 42 of the free track. Each goes into your deck as a single copy, works both against creatures and in PvP, and is paid for with your class resource. More in Battle pass and Achievements and titles.

How to change your deck

  1. Learn talents that add new cards or strengthen the ones you need — see How talents work.
  2. From level 20, keep two specialisations — each has its own deck.
  3. Save up to 3 talent loadouts and switch with a single tap — see Specialisations and loadouts.

You can see your whole deck in the Spellbook — the P key.
