Specialisations and talent loadouts

Your specialisation decides your Class Power and your hero's role. From level 20 you have two — Spec A and Spec B — and can save up to three talent loadouts.

Your specialisation is the main tree of your talents. It decides your Class Power — and with it, which role you can really fill in combat. From level 20 your hero has two specialisations, and you can also save up to three talent loadouts.

How your specialisation is set

  • Automatically — it's the tree with the most points in it.
  • Manually — with the "Activate" button in a tree's header, as long as that tree has at least one point.
  • Before level 10 there's no specialisation, and everyone's Class Power attacks.

What it decides

  • Your Class Power: tank specialisations get Taunt, healing ones a healing power, the rest an attacking one. All powers are in the Class Power reference.
  • Talent cards in your deck — only those learned in your active specialisation.
  • Your group role: you pick your dungeon queue role yourself from your class's roles, but you can't tank without Taunt — match your specialisation to your role. See Group roles.

Two specialisations: Spec A and Spec B

From level 20 your hero has two independent sets of talents, and you switch between them with one button on the talent screen. A handy setup is an attacking specialisation for quests and a healing or tank one for dungeons. Each has its own top talent: one loadout can hold only one.

Loadouts

A loadout is a saved snapshot of your talent tree.

  1. Press "Save loadout", give it a name (up to 24 characters) and pick an icon — one of the talents of your main tree.
  2. To bring a loadout back, tap it and choose "Apply" — it goes into your active specialisation in one tap.
  3. In the same place: "Update" (save the current tree into it), "Rename" and "Remove".

You can't save an empty loadout, and it only applies if it fits your level's point total.

FAQ

How much does it cost to switch specialisation or loadout?

Nothing. Switching specialisations, applying loadouts and resetting talents are all free.

How is a loadout different from the second specialisation?

There are two specialisations, and both are always at hand. A loadout is a spare snapshot of your tree: you apply it to either specialisation whenever you need.
