The «!» and «?» marks of three rhythms
The blue «!» of the day, the diamond of the week, the star of the month: what each mark means, dim and bright «?», and the event marks ☠ 🔥 ✦.
The mark’s shape is the same as a regular quest’s: a golden «!» — a quest can be taken, a white «?» — taken. For errands the rhythm shows by color and setting, so marks stay distinguishable even with poor color vision.
Three rhythms
| Rhythm | Can be taken | Taken, in progress | Done — turn in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day | blue «!» | dim blue «?» | bright glowing blue «?» |
| Week | «!» in a silver diamond | dim diamond with «?» | glowing diamond with «?» |
| Month | amethyst «!» in a golden star | dim star with «?» | glowing star with «?» |
- Only what can be taken or turned in glows; «in progress» doesn’t glow, so it doesn’t call you for nothing.
- The mark bobs; with your system’s «reduce motion» it stays still.
- A land on the world map shows at most two marks, in order: turn in → take → event. The rest is in the land’s card.
- At level 60 the marks hang only over the Great Hall — that’s where errands are given and accepted.
Event marks
- ☠ — «Wanted»: your band’s wanted foe of the week roams this land.
- 🔥 — «Invasion»: battles with the Ashen Legion in this land (the third weekend of the month).
- ✦ — «Lucky Hour»: a badge with a timer while the hour lasts.
