Open test of Chamber Games, computer players and Mythic

All Chamber Games free for everyone for 48 hours; computer players in every game; a new games cabinet; new tutorial; fairer Mythic.

• Open test of Chamber Games — 48 hours: all 17 Game Room games and Defense of the Hall are open to everyone. Take a seat at your own table or as a guest, play with friends or with the computer. Paid games give no rewards during the test. • Game Tester: play at least an hour during the test to earn the Game Tester title and a 20% discount on each game during its first week on sale. • Nine games stay free forever: Fireside Match, Paths and Precipices, Hall Draughts, Zarhold Chess, Hall Fool, Caravaneers’ Backgammon, Hall Solitaire, Tiles of the Ancients and The Chronicle. The other nine, including Defense of the Hall, become paid once sales open; there will also be an “All Chamber Games” bundle. • Computer players in every Chamber game: the “Add residents” button seats residents of Zarhold in free places, each with its own skill level. If a player leaves, a resident plays on for them. • Pick your dice sound — From the cup, On the cloth, Scatter or Ringing; the Silence button in the Game Room mutes music, background and game sounds in one tap. In Night in the Hall, residents have their own personalities and five levels. • A new games cabinet — a big window in the center, and every game has “About the game”: what makes it special, how many players and whether there is a computer opponent. • Defense of the Hall no longer crashes mid-wave and opens right from the Chambers; your game is saved as you play. • Defense of the Hall: four new towers — Poison Thicket, Chapel, Ballista and Wind Totem; on later waves towers can be ascended to ★4–★5; every tower has its own sound, and “About the game” has a reference. The Invasion mode is now called Joint Onslaught. • Defense of the Hall: before building you see a tower’s damage, speed and range, and each building has a detailed card; you can sell your own tower for half price; “Enemies and waves” shows who is coming; the Gates are now an arch with a tower, and the towers have come alive. • A dropped connection in Chamber Games and in Defense of the Hall for two no longer counts as leaving: your seat waits a minute and a half, in one-on-one games your opponent can wait or end the game, and when you return you go straight back to your table. • At the table you can see who is playing, who is online and who has lost connection; the table host can choose “Don’t wait” for a missing player or remove them from the table. • Chambers: a call to World or guild chat with a “Come” button, “Unwanted guests” — they can no longer enter your Chambers, voice at any game table and “Ask to speak”. • The new Path of the Novice tutorial with Mikhey is now given to every new hero. • Battles with creatures and Mythic: a single action is now capped at ×8 — the fighter’s buffs together with the target’s weaknesses; the “on target” tooltip shows this cap. Personal damage buffs apply only to whoever played the card, and identical buffs no longer stack. • Mythic: boss escorts are no longer buffed twice; two-handed fighters no longer get one-handed weapons or off-hand items in personal Mythic loot. • Mythic+: one weekly key rule — from Nov 9, every Monday your key becomes your best completed level − 5 (not below +0); the key window shows what it will become. • Mercenary Camp: if a Mythic run (not a key) is one or two players short, the party can hire a mercenary — three ranks, paid by the leader or split; loot from their seats goes to the living players, and runs with a mercenary do not count for records. • “Show my heroes” in Settings → Privacy: nobody (default), friends, your guild or everyone. • Battle: when rarities are equal, the consumable slot now takes the strongest buff — Flask of Might instead of Elixir of Strength. • Before buying — “Preview”: see a look, frame or other shop item in battle, chat and party, try it on for 15 minutes, and play a trial game of a paid Chamber game. • Flame of the First Forge can be exchanged for the Shard of the First Forge one to one — as many as you need. • Chat: the feed no longer jitters sideways and the “unread” dot no longer lights up for nothing; on phones in fullscreen the keyboard no longer gets in the way of search fields. • Rolls in group chat: “/roll” or the “🎲 Roll” button gives a fair 1–100 roll everyone can see, and “Roll for item” raffles a linked item from chat in 30 seconds. • Undo: a disenchanted, unravelled or smelted item can be restored within a day by giving back what you received for it. • Mail: the subject is now optional, and if “Send” is greyed out, the reason is shown under the button. • Your equipped look and title are now kept on the server — the same on every device; if a change fails, the previous one returns with a message. Titles at the banner are chosen in the Titles window. • Looks: the Arcane tabard has its own cloth, Noble and Arcane are epic; the Call to Arms frame is now round; the Patron look of the month for November is the Hall First Frost frame. • Game Room: the living backgrounds of six themes are calmer — no shaking or flashes. In party battles the hero’s crystal row no longer slips under the cards.
