Duels

Duels for real: fair play, stakes, the Honor Circle and the challenge board
Challenge any hero of any level: a permanent record and history, gold and item stakes, a season rating and a marks shop.
A duel with a live player is now a full part of the game. Every fight is recorded forever for each side: score, streaks and history with dates, opponents and levels. The opponent hand and deck are shown only as card backs, and the server decides the outcome of every turn.
When challenging a player you can stake gold and up to three of your items: the stake is taken from each side when the opponent accepts, and the winner gets everything by mail (a 5 % fee on the gold).
The Honor Circle is the season duel rating: everyone starts with 500 points, a win over an equal gives +20, over a stronger hero more. Wins over live heroes give duelist marks, spent in the shop on a title, a frame, a card back and a battle board; nothing there adds power in battle. At the end of the season the best receive honorary titles and frames.
The Challenge board shows who is looking for an opponent right now: join the board or challenge someone who is already waiting. A duel with a world resident is training: no record, rewards or stakes.
