v0.9.702

Training Dummy, damage meter and new balance

A Training Yard and a damage meter; new balance for tanks, potions, bombs and enchants; “Need” for everyone who can wear the item; boss rhythm on every level.

• Every hero now has a free Training Dummy in their Chambers. Tap it to open the Training Yard: fight dummies with your own hero, with no rewards or experience. You can also get there from the Capital’s Tourney Grounds (from level 60) and the “Try out” button in Talents. • Five dummies: the Straw Dummy (no defence), the Plated Dummy (the Hardiness of a plate set of your level), the “Level 60 Boss” Dummy (enormous Health and a boss strike), the “Arena Fighter” Dummy (PvP rules: Resilience and the round cap) and the Healer’s Mannequin, a wounded ally you have to keep alive. • Settings: 1, 3 or 5 dummies, 100% or 30% Health, “Strikes back” and “Tank and healer beside you”. A fight lasts 30 turns; Restart, New deal and Result sit in the fight header next to your running total. Consumables work and are not used up. • The training summary shows damage (healing and shields on the mannequin) for the fight, the average and best turn, your best cards and combos, and a comparison with your previous session on that dummy. “Compare two sets” shows which gear set hits harder on the very same deal. • Damage meter in fights: the ☰ panel now has the tabs Damage · Heal · Log. It opens on Damage: damage for the fight and per turn, cards, combos on their own row, and “dealt → counted” (how much the enemy’s defence took off). The combat log is the third tab; the tab you pick stays until the fight ends. In a live duel and a live party it is the log, as before. • A tank in stance (Taunt) no longer loses more than a damage dealer to big boss hits: the per-hit and per-enemy-turn damage caps are now the same as everyone’s. • Alchemy: the Fel Flask of Might is now its own flask, +33% damage until the end of the fight. The Healing Potion restores 29% Health — stronger than the minor one (22%). • Bombs: every higher rung now hits harder than the one below. The Plasma Bomb clearly beats the Thorium Grenade, the burn of the Incendiary and Thermite bombs is now part of their power, and the Stone Thrower beats the Crude Grenade. • Crafting: Spiced Fish is its own dish, the Runecloth Cloak is level 60, Major Enchant on armor gives +32 Health (already applied enchants updated), inscribing Fel Enchant now needs a fel shard. • Mail: while you type the recipient, heroes are suggested below the field, like “@” in chat, and a line shows “The letter goes to: name · level · class”. If there is no such hero, you see it before sending. • Loot rolls: every class an item suits can now pick Need — armor of your weight, weapons you can wield, cloaks, necklaces, rings and trinkets. Just like “My class” in the Atlas: a “for warriors and paladins” label no longer limits Need. Rangers and Stormbringers can now take the Crown of the Ogre King and the Runestone Bracers on Need — before, nobody could. • Dungeon bosses below level 60 now follow the same rules as level-60 bosses: a party-wide strike at most once every 3 of their turns and never two turns in a row, poisons and debuffs don’t stack, and each healing or shield move is used at most once per turn. Before, late in a fight Magister Whitewolf, for example, could cast two or three Arcane Explosions in a single turn. • Patron Shop: Frost sets — a living portrait and a living frame together for 1,890 Patron Marks. If you already own part of a set, its tile says so.
