Dungeon wings: how to clear a long dungeon in parts

How to clear a 16-boss dungeon over several evenings: wings, rewards that never double, runs that wait up to 7 days and which wing to start with.
Most dungeons in Zarhold, a card MMORPG in your browser, take one evening: four to six bosses, a wave of enemies before each, and every fight a card duel between your party and a boss with its minions. But some places have two or three times as many bosses. Clearing one in a single go takes an hour and a half or more, and a live group rarely lasts that long. Since 22 October, long dungeons are split into wings. Here’s how it works, what happens to loot and which wing to start with.
Why a long dungeon is hard to clear in one go
A boss fight with a live group takes minutes, but a run through 11–16 bosses eats the whole evening. Someone has dinner, someone’s phone dies, someone disconnects — and the group falls apart halfway. That used to mean few groups reached the last boss, and an unfinished run was lost.
Wings fix both problems: a long place is cut into short runs, and an unfinished run no longer disappears.
Which dungeons have wings
The four longest places:
- Blackforge Depths — 16 bosses, levels 52–60, a party of three; three wings: “Detention Block”, “Forge and Workshops”, “Imperial Hall”.
- School of Dark Magic — 12 bosses, levels 58–60, a party of three; two wings: “Students' Halls”, “Headmaster's Quarters”.
- Fallen Stratholme — 11 bosses, levels 58–60, a party of three; two wings: “Dead Side”, “Living Side”.
- Molten Core — a raid of 9 bosses, level 60, a party of five; two wings: “Burning Depths”, “Firelord's Lair”.
Each wing is a separate run of roughly 30–45 minutes with its own chain of bosses and its own enemy waves. The bosses are the same and in the same order as before, with the same abilities and the same loot: only the way a run is cut into evenings has changed.
We split by how each place is built, not by count. Stratholme has two sides, each with its own final boss, so its wings are uneven — 7 and 4 bosses — but each has its own finale.
A wing or the full run
On the Dungeons screen, under the name of such a place, there are wing rows I, II, III, and the place’s page has a “Wings” bar. On normal difficulty there’s also a “Full run” button — the whole place in one go, as before. Heroic raids are played wing by wing.
Everything that works for a normal run works for a wing:
- the queue and entering with a live group;
- world residents — if you’re short of people, empty slots are taken by heroes controlled by the game (more in Dungeons with NPC companions);
- going solo where that’s allowed;
- “Continue the run” — an unfinished wing waits for up to 7 days.
You can clear wings in any order, on different days and with different groups: one tonight with your guild, another tomorrow with friends.
Rewards: what if you clear a wing and then the whole place
The big question for any “in parts” system is whether you can collect the loot twice. You can’t — here are the rules:
- Each wing has its own reward window. In a dungeon, within a day, the first clear gives 100% of experience and money, the second 50%, and after that 0%. The reset is the same for everyone — 03:00 Moscow time.
- A full run counts towards every wing with its share of the reward. Example: you clear wing I, then the whole place — wing I’s share gives 50%, wings II and III give 100%.
- The scroll and rare material window (“1st and 2nd run”) is also per wing.
- In a raid, each boss can be looted once a day, and this lockout is shared by the wing and the full run: kill a boss in a wing, and in a full run it no longer has loot for you.
The result is simple: a place gives as much per day as it did before, however you split it. Details are in the knowledge base: repeat rewards.
When a place counts as cleared
Achievements like “Clear N dungeons” and errands like “Clear …” count a place when all its wings are cleared — in any order and on any days — or when it’s cleared in one full run. Records are kept for each wing and for the full run.
Tips: which wing to start with
- Check the boss levels. In Blackforge Depths the bosses grow along the chain: level 52–54 in wing I, 55–57 in wing II and 57–60 in wing III. If your hero is 52–55, start with the first wing.
- Build a group for a wing, not the whole place. Finding people for 30–45 minutes is easier than for two hours. The “📣” button in chat creates a group card with role slots.
- Don’t abandon a run for dinner. Close the game — the run will wait, and you can continue it on any device. How it works: A cross-platform MMORPG on PC and phone.
- Read “How to beat”. A place’s page in the Dungeon Atlas shows the bosses, their abilities and real loot icons, and the “How to beat” tab has the tactics.
- Want a marathon? Go ahead. “Full run” is still there: the reward is the same, just in one go.

Dungeon wings FAQ
Can I clear wings with different groups?
Yes. Each wing is a separate run: clear one today with one group and another tomorrow with a different group.
Can I clear a wing and then the whole place for a second batch of loot?
No. Rewards are counted per wing: a full run counts towards every wing, and in a raid each boss’s loot lockout is shared between the wing and the full run.
How long does an unfinished wing wait?
Up to 7 days. The Dungeons screen shows “Continue the run” — right where you stopped, on any device.
Do I have to clear the wings in order?
No. A place counts as cleared when all its wings are cleared — in any order and on any days.
Can I still clear the whole place in one go?
Yes, on normal difficulty — with the “Full run” button. Heroic raids are played wing by wing.
The bottom line
Wings turn a long dungeon from a two-hour marathon into a few short runs, and the loot neither doubles nor gets lost. Gather a party of three for one wing and open the game — an unfinished run will wait for you.
