v0.9.728

Fairer battles, item tooltips and Heralds

A ×5 cap on card boosts, effects no longer jump to a neighbour, combos are easier to see, item tooltips everywhere, Heralds and chat moderators.

• Battle: all boosts on a single card together are now capped at ×5 — multipliers no longer stack up endlessly. The battle log shows this with a “⚖ Card boost cap” line. • Battle: if a card finishes off its target, its burn, poison or weakness no longer jumps to the neighbouring enemy. • Battle: identical weaknesses on one target no longer stack — a repeat only refreshes the duration and strength. Different weaknesses, poisons and burns work as before. • The “Hammer” turret can be placed right away — a summon made by another card in the same turn no longer holds it back. • Blueprints in loot: the duplicate note is now clear — if a blueprint you already know or carry drops, you get 2 Shards of the First Forge instead. The swap is shown in the Loot log. • Combos in battle are easier to see: the “📜 Combos” button by the deck is always there, the first card of a combo is marked “🔗 1/3”, and new players are told which talents of their class grant a combo and from which level. • The “FROZEN” and “BURNING” labels now appear only when the card really applied a frost weakness or a burn to the target. • The Underhall: your hero now gets Armor Mastery and the guild tabard bonus, just like in a normal battle. The Herald announces the server’s Abyss records every 10 waves, and 100 waves earn the title “Centurion of the Abyss”. • Item tooltips almost everywhere: hover on PC, tap on phones — in the shop, achievements, the Atlas, dungeons, the auction, professions, errands, the Pass, fishing and more. • Abyssal Satchel: the “👁 Take a look” button shows the frame on your own hero. The frame is now visibly alive, and even a single Satchel now gives the living frame — earlier buyers get it too. • Name changes: your current name now shows everywhere — the Hall of Fame, tournaments, records, the Chronicles and guild glory — and your old name stays reserved for your account so nobody else can take it. On PC the inspect window shows a large Gift shelf. • Party battles: the party panel keeps the same size and position for the whole battle. • Heralds of Zarhold: the Companion has a new “Heralds” section where you can apply to become a partner of the game. A newcomer can enter a Herald’s code when creating their first hero and get a gift. • Chat moderators: they have a “⚖ MOD” badge by their name, and you can apply in your account on the website. Even if you are muted in chat, private messages to the Game Master still work. • Website: the tournament list has a new look — cards with artwork, status, voting, levels, places and dates. • The Companion icon next to a name now comes in two kinds: bright means the player is in Zarhold Companion right now and will answer from the phone, dim means they just have the Companion installed. Hover over it to see which one it is. • Reagent pouch on PC: the section buttons (“Ore and stone”, “Cloth and leather”…) are always shown, in up to three rows; if there are more sections, the rest are under the “More ▾” button. The single list button is now only on phones. • Live avatars: the caption at the bottom of the portrait (title, name, class, race, level) is now always shown over the video — when inspecting a hero, in “Equipment” and on the hero sheet. • Guild roster: above the list you can now sort (Online, level, join date, weekly contribution, last seen, “⇅” to reverse) and filter by class, role, profession and “Online only”. • Role icon — 🛡 tank, ✚ healer, ⚔ damage, the same as in dungeon groups — next to the class when inspecting a hero, on the hero sheet, in the guild roster and in Who’s Online. For classes with several roles it shows the role of the current talent build: change your talents and the icon changes right away. • Item search: trades, mail, the guild bank and auction listings now have a search bar by name and quick filters by item type, so the item you need is right there. • Fishing: the catch window shows the weight of the fish, the Catch log keeps your record for each fish, and the Fishing records table shows your records and the server’s. • Hero Token: if you have one, the game reminds you with an “Apply” banner, and the token’s letter now has an “Apply token” button. • New default hero portraits for every class. If you have already chosen your own avatar, it stays the same.
