v0.9.722
Voice chat, new settings and the Companion
Voice chat for your party, guild and Chambers, new Settings with a Graphics section and Zarhold Companion — the game on your phone.
• Voice chat: talk with your party, your guild (the Guild Hall) and in the Chambers. Turn it on in Settings → Sound → Voice chat. To speak, hold V (on phones, the microphone button); a ring around the portrait shows who is speaking, and the game music gets quieter meanwhile.
• Voice is only for your own people: party, guild and Chambers; there is no voice in World chat, the Tavern or with strangers. You can mute anyone for yourself, and people on your blacklist are never heard. To report someone, use Report voice.
• Speaking in voice chat is available from level 10, listening from any level. In the VK Play app you can only listen for now; you can speak in the browser version of the game.
• New Settings: all in the game’s style, with sections on the left. Graphics comes first: Auto, Simple and Full beauty modes plus ten separate options — living portraits and frames, living battlefields and backgrounds, battle effects, screen shake, window animations and more. Change any of them and the mode becomes Custom.
• Zarhold Companion — the game on your phone: World, Trade, Guild and private chats, mail, guild, group finder and Hero’s Call, auction, friends online and Invite a friend, My hero, Updates and voice chat — even when the game is closed. Messages sent from a phone are marked with an icon. Sign in with a code from the game: Settings → Account → Sign in to the website; VK Play players sign in the same way.
• Underside of the Hall: if a gadget, throw or bandage finished off the last enemy, the victory now counts — an Abyss wave no longer restarts with a fallen enemy. A short connection drop no longer loses a victory: the game resends the battle result by itself. The Descent floor background no longer jitters.
• Dungeons: a location’s narration plays only when you tap the location and stops when you switch to another tab (Underside, Mythic+) or leave the screen.
• Chambers: each of the 17 tabletop games now has its own themed poster.
